Privacy Policy
Last updated August 15, 2026
This policy explains how Aniwa Digital, a C corporation incorporated in Wisconsin ("Aniwa," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, Global Portal, community, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Our Terms of Use also apply to your use of the Services.
Information we collect
Account & profile information. When you create an account or complete your member profile, we collect:
- Email address
- Name
- City
We use this information to create and maintain your account, personalize your member profile, and communicate with you about your membership. We will never sell your data to third parties.
Payment information. If you purchase a membership or make a purchase through our Services, payment is processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe collects your payment card details directly; Aniwa does not receive or store your full card number. We do receive limited transaction information from Stripe (such as the amount, date, and product purchased) to confirm and manage your order.
Shipping information. If you order a physical item, such as a printed book, we collect your shipping address and share it with our print and fulfillment partner, Lulu and PrintBindShip, to produce and ship your order.
Marketing emails. If you opt in, we may send marketing emails about teachings, live sessions, and Aniwa news through our email service provider, Brevo. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or by contacting us at hello@aniwa.co.
How we track use of the site
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to understand how people use Aniwa and to improve the experience. This includes:
- Site analytics — tracking which pages you visit and which buttons or features you use, so we can see how the Services are used overall.
- Meta Pixel — a tool from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) that helps us measure the performance of our ads and understand how visitors arrive at our site after seeing an ad.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based Meta advertising through Meta's ad preferences or industry tools like the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page.
How we share information
We share information with the service providers who help us run Aniwa, including:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Circle — hosting our member community
- Brevo — sending marketing and account emails
- Lulu — printing and shipping physical book orders
- Meta — advertising and ad performance measurement
These providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf, and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
How long we keep information
We retain your account and profile information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return or as needed to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Aniwa's Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Minors who are 13 years of age or older may use the Services with a parent's or guardian's consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@aniwa.co so we can delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Object to or opt out of certain uses, such as marketing emails or interest-based advertising
This includes rights available to residents of the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland under GDPR, and to California residents under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@aniwa.co. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
If you are located outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.
Community
Our member community is hosted by Circle. Privacy practices for the community platform are governed by Circle's privacy policy.
Aniwa does not track individual messages between members. If activity is reported, we may review the relevant messages to decide whether to restrict or ban a user, in order to protect the safety of the community.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly (for example, by email).
