The basic term k’é (kinship) refers to affective action and solidarity, including such concepts as love, compassion, kindness, friendliness, generosity, and peacefulness.

Jerry Nelson is one of the most respected medicine men of the Diné (Navajo) Nation. He has been a Native American Church Roadman for the past thirty-eight years with his wife, four children, and twelve grandkids. He is a medicine man and a counselor, helping people in his own traditional ways of prayer. He runs traditional teepee and sweat lodge ceremonies as well as spiritual doctoring work.
Join us on September 4th at 12pm PST for a talk on kinship and the traditional Diné clan system, sacred songs, and family blessing.
There will be teachings about sacred numbers and other spiritual significance of the Diné clan. He will also offer a powerful family blessing to send some of that loving energy to participants' families, so they can feel close to one another, especially those who have been forced to be separated duration of the pandemic.
This is a fundraiser to support Jerry’s family through the pandemic. The Diné Nation was severely hit by the virus losing thousands of people, Jerry’s family hasn’t been able to work throughout the pandemic as his wife is an at-risk group.
