Mona will be guiding us through a Water Blessing Ceremony, honoring the sacredness of the Water as we offer our prayers to this divine Spirit. Water is our first home and the sacred essence we are made of, the blood of the Earth, the source of life, the embodiment of spirit. Water from sacred springs is pure medicine and with the help of prayer, it cleanses our emotions, unblocks stagnant energy that holds us back from embodying our fullest potential, and invites happiness and joy into our lives, it creates movement and fluidity in all aspects of our beings. Mona is known to hold remarkably divine ceremonies with the Water, participants receive many profound healings from her work and her teachings.

Mona is a Native American Spiritual Elder who is part of the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, and a Co-Secretariat of the Indigenous World Forum on Water and Peace. She has dedicated her life to international justice work specifically related to indigenous peoples and the Rights to Water.

This is not a lesson, the elder is sharing sacred prayers.

Mona is a Hopi Native American spiritual elder and water protector from Arizona. She has worked to further social justice for indigenous people from an early age. She is an author in the field of social sciences, has held posts of responsibility as Treasurer for her tribe, served on several committees for Indigenous Peoples within the United Nations and is widely known for her leadership in the Native American revitalization movement. Mona has gained international recognition for her work as a founding member of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers - a group of spiritual elders, medicine women and wisdom keepers founded in 2004.
