A message from Mukany Shanenawa
"The sacred prayers are an ancestral knowledge that we learned with the use of the sacred medicines of the Shanenawa people. It is also taught from father to children, in our case from father to daughters, which we call hereditary knowledge. Through the chants, we can receive the healing we seek to achieve. It also brings us a connection with our ancestors, and we find alignments in our spiritual and physical lives. Our journey as female leaders has been very challenging, men did not believe in our potential as women; they discriminated against us. Even so, we did not accept "NO" as an answer. We always sought to achieve our goals with our heads held high, conquering our spaces and showing other women that we are capable of overcoming the obstacles that cross our paths. We learned the sacred prayers through ancestral medicines like Ayahuasca, rapé, and hãpaya, and also through the diets we follow here in the forest."
