A woman with facial paint and traditional colorful clothing, wearing a large woven hat, drinking from a bottle at an outdoor gathering with colorful chairs and other people in the background.

For thousands of years, the Huni Kuin people of the Brazilian and Peruvian Amazon have worked with Hapéh (tobacco snuff) as one of their most important medicines. It clears the mind, grounds the body, opens the heart, brings deep healing and creates a direct channel to spirit. This is not a trend. It is an ancestral sacred relationship, passed down through lineages of wisdom keepers who have devoted their lives to its care.

As Hapéh grows in global popularity, it is increasingly being used outside its cultural context, often times without proper understanding or respect. That is why this moment matters.
